It is a legal requirement that all persons involved in the supervision, mounting of or operational use of an abrasive wheel and machine are trained and certified.

Our training is offered at your site UKwide for groups of upto 10 people making this a cost effective method to get your workforce training in the safe use of abrasive wheels. This is a 1/2 day course so we offer additional training for another group or another subject at a discounted rate call for details.

This abrasive wheels programme was put together so staff will be aware of legislation relating to the use of abrasive wheels. Delegates will learn how to carry out routine maintenance checks and how to safely operate abrasive wheels equipment.

By the end of the programme delegates will:

  • Be aware of legislation relating to the use of Abrasive Wheels
  • Be able to carry out routine maintenance checks
  • Understand and be able to safely operate an abrasive wheel on site
  • Be able to change an abrasive wheel correctly
  • Be aware of the actions to take in order to ensure that defects and hazards are reported

Who should attend?

People who are required to use an abrasive wheel as part of their job, or operatives who need to learn how to safely select, fit and mount abrasive wheels and discs on portable machines.

Our UKwide Onsite Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels training offers clients the cost effective training of upto to 10 persons per course. The flexibilty of the taining to be tailored to your employees working with Abrasive Wheels (note this must be discussed at time of booking). Our professional Abrasive Wheels trainers attend your site reducing the cost and distruption to your workforce. This is a half day course so we offer clients the option to add another 1/2 day course in Abrasive wheels or another 1/2 day subject i.e. Manual Handling call to discuss.
