About the Abrasive Wheels Training Course This abrasive wheels programme was put together so staff will be aware of legislation relating to the use of abrasive wheels. Delegates will learn how to carry out routine maintenance checks and how to safely operate the abrasive wheels equipment.  The abrasive wheels course covers the following areas:  Health & Safety at Work Employer Duties & Employee Duties COSHH Noise PPE / PUWER Use of Equipment – Controls, stop, start and safe use Operator Maintenance Changing of Abrasive Wheels Abrasive Wheels – Physical checks, storage, handling, guards, arbour diameters, types and speeds Assessment in the safe mounting of the wheel / disc and use of the machine.  Who Should Attend an Abrasive Wheels Training Course? People who are required to use an Abrasive Wheel as part of their job or operatives who need to learn how to safely select fit and mount abrasive wheels and discs on portable machines.
