Course Content
PRINCE2® Foundation Training Course covers the whole of the syllabus of PRINCE2® Foundation Level and prepares participants for the PRINCE2 Foundation examination. This course teaches delegates a significant amount of knowledge and understanding of how all the processes, components and techniques all work together to achieve the successful delivery of a PRINCE2® project.
During the course delegates will learn the following:
- Relationship between the project and its business case
- Detailed explanation of the PRINCE2® principles, themes and processes
- Roles and associated tasks and responsibilities within a PRINCE2® project
- The management of risks and issues on a project
- Structure and contents of a product focused project plan
- The management of a project relative to the project plan
- Definition, management and acceptance of work packages
Who Should Attend PRINCE2® Training ?
This PRINCE2® c course is designed for project managers, project consultants, team managers, project planners, project estimators, project support staff, project assurance staff or anyone requiring more than a basic knowledge of PRINCE2®.
PRINCE2® Prerequisites
It is desirable but not essential that participants have some experience of working on projects. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the event and is expected to be fully read before attending the course. This is an intensive course and some evening work will be required during the course.
The PRINCE2® Examination
The PRINCE2® Foundation examination is a 75 multiple choice question paper to be completed in one hour with a pass mark of 50%. .
Please note that the APM Group require every candidate's identification to be verified by the examination invigilator. You will be required to produce some photographic identification before being allowed to take the exam.

PRINCE2® CONVERSION COURSE INFORMATION

Course Content
PRINCE2® Conversion/Upgrade course takes up where the PRINCE2® Foundation course ends and prepares delegates for the Practitioner examination, or the re-qualification examination.
During the PRINCE2® course delegates will learn the following:
- Relationship between the business case, programmes and the project
- PRINCE2® processes – starting up a project, initiating a project, directing a project, controlling a stage, managing product delivery, managing stage boundaries and closing a project
- PRINCE2® components – organisation, controls, business case, quality, risk, configuration management, change control and plans
- PRINCE2® techniques – product based planning, quality review and change control approach
Who Should Attend PRINCE2® training?
This PRINCE2® course is designed for project managers, project consultants, team managers, project planners, project estimators, project support staff, project assurance staff or anyone with an interest in the practical management of a PRINCE2® project.
PRINCE2® Prerequisites
Project Management experience and experience working in project teams. Some pre-read material is provided prior to the event, which is expected to be fully read and studied before attending the course. A pass at the PRINCE2 Foundation level. This is an intensive course and some evening work will be required during the course.
The PRINCE2® Examination
The PRINCE2® examination is a 2.5 hour multiple choice objective test examination consisting of nine questions based on a given scenario. Each question is worth 12 marks (108 marks in total) and tests your knowledge in terms of application of the methodology to the scenario and in general. The pass mark for the exam is 55% (59 marks).
Please note that the APM require every candidate's identification to be verified by the examination invigilator. You may be required to produce some photographic identification before being allowed to take the exam.

PRINCE2® Re-Registration course is designed as a refresher and exam day for PRINCE2® Practitioners who need to re-register 3 to 5 years after passing the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam to continue their qualification for a further 5 years.

- Changes in PRINCE2® from 2005 to 2009
- PRINCE2® principles – continued business justification, learn from experience, defined roles and responsibilities, manage by stages, manage by exception, focus on products and tailored to suit the needs of a projects environment
